The blending of plants and hardscape in this aquascape gives a very natural impression even though the overall layout is modest. Hygrophila pinnatifida creeps over rock, and pruning the plant according to the contours of the rock over time can allow it have a very matured grown in look. Taller wavy plants in the background gives the impression of wilderness yet they too are trimmed to match the contours of the two hardscape mounds. This planted tank is a good example of curated naturalness.
